This project was a rare opportunity in 2005 to live with tribal communities in Nagaland which is a remote state on the Indo-Burmese border. |

The naga population is divided into fourteen major tribes, belonging to the Indo-Mongoloid family. Hunting remains their major occupation. |

Their near sacred approach and a deep connect with
nature was inspiring and delightful for me. I lived and worked with
these communities to develop new products in cane, bamboo and grass.
The project closely looks at the issue of rejuvenating craft, product
development, alternative materials and introducing new visual language
in tribal communities. |
